Q. WHAT IS A NAPPY CAKE?
A nappy cake is a handmade gift usually given to expecting parents or to celebrate the baby’s arrival. Nappy cakes are an arrangement of nappies, made to resemble a traditional tiered cake. An unusual gift that is both thoughtful and practical.
Q. WHAT NAPPIES DO YOU USE?
We use Pampers or Huggies branded nappies as standard in Size 2. This size nappy is suitable to fit babies weighing 3-6kg (7-13lbs) so they’re ideal to fit the average newborn baby.
Q. DO YOUR DESIGNS VARY?
We are continually looking to improve our designs and to offer brand new ones. Images shown on our website are of previously made designs, slight changes are inevitable if an item is unavailable or no longer in production. In this situation we will replace the item with one of equal or better quality. We cannot be held responsible for any disputes arising from this.
Q. CAN YOU TAILOR MAKE A NAPPY CAKE?
If you have a specific theme or budget in mind, we are more than happy to accommodate you. Our nappy cakes and gift baskets are easily adaptable, so please contact us with your requirements and together we’ll design your perfect gift.
Q. WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE OTHER ITEMS YOU USE?
We use recognised brands available on the high street including Johnsons Baby, Tommee Tippee and in the case of our designer crib baskets, clothing from well known designers including John Rocha and Jasper Conran.
Q. HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?
Smaller items will be securely packaged and sent to you using Royal Mail’s First Class service. Nappy cakes and gift baskets are sent using a courier service.
Q. CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER DIRECTLY FROM YOU?
Yes you can. Please order and pay for your gifts as normal, and we will refund the postage price once you have collected your order from us. Please ensure you leave a contact telephone number so that we can contact you when your order is ready.
Q. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?
As our gifts are handmade to order, we normally dispatch your order within 48 hours of cleared payment. Delivery is usually 2-3 days after dispatch, and we will provide tracking numbers where appropriate. Please note that there are no collections or deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and other Public Holidays.
Q. I NEED MY ORDER URGENTLY, CAN YOU DELIVER NEXT DAY?
We can provide next day delivery using a courier service or Royal Mail Special Delivery, however this will incur a surcharge. We ask that you contact us with your requirements and dependant upon stocks levels we can accommodate you providing you have completed payment by 1pm. Please note that there are no collections or deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and other Public Holidays.
Q. CAN YOU DELIVER STRAIGHT TO THE RECIPIENT?
Yes we can, at the checkout you can provide a different delivery address to the billing address however you need to ensure that you also change the delivery address when reviewing your information, before submitting payment within PayPal. It is important that we also have a telephone number for the recipient should there be any problems with delivery.
Q. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
All of our transactions are made through PayPal, a secure online payment system which allows you to use your Visa, Mastercard, Delta and Maestro credit or debit cards without having to give your card details to individual retailers. When your order has been processed you will receive an email from PayPal confirming your payment. Once your payment has been received you order will be processed and delivered as agreed.
Q. HOW CAN I PAY IF I DO NOT HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT?
You do not need a PayPal account to purchase from wemakenappycakes, we will also accept a cheque or postal order however orders will not be dispatched until payment has cleared. Please contact us if you like to use this method for your order.
